Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Moises Fernandino kicked off to start the match. Michelangelo Merganiotis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Michelangelo Merganiotis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as AFC Ajax's Nikos Sterpis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 5-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 33rd match minute, AFC Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lambis Zacharatos to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 35 in the game by Nikos Sterpis from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Zorita managed to make a qualified save. El Salvador's players were relieved. In the 46th minute, Aleksander Petka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

AFC Ajax's Lambis Zacharatos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Rubio in the 54 minute of the game. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Nikos Sterpis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. AFC Ajax made a substitution. Markos Seremetidis replaced Nikos Sterpis. 62 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Markos Seremetidis came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markos Seremetidis's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Markos Seremetidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markos Seremetidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 69 minutes in the game Thomas Kallergis did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Thalis Karteris. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markos Seremetidis's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Ajax's Markos Seremetidis. But to his dismay, Markos Seremetidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markos Seremetidis in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markos Seremetidis's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markos Seremetidis in the 89th minute of play. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Markos Seremetidis sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markos Seremetidis's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
