Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Xerardo Amer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xerardo Amer. Xerardo Amer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Fuerzas Armadas getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Saturnin Acarreta hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oro Montes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Fuerzas Armadas's Oro Montes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 24th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Gaizkine Armada scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-0. After 39 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fuerzas Armadas's goalkeeper Oro Montes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Xerardo Amer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Fuerzas Armadas getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Xerardo Amer hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Elvio Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Fuerzas Armadas's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oro Montes came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Bastida charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Bastida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 56 minutes into the match, Fuerzas Armadas's goalkeeper Oro Montes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 59 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oro Montes was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xerardo Amer in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. A collision led to Fuerzas Armadas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mateo Bastida hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho scored 1-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oro Montes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Gaizkine Armada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oro Montes. That made the score 1-3 after 76 minutes of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Oro Montes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oro Montes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oro Montes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fuerzas Armadas.
