In the 42nd match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Gallo to maneuver through the defense. A well placed Hektor Dino short distance shot in the 48th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Fernandino made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Hektor Dino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso de la Cruz took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised İsmail Hakkı Ökmener. İsmail Hakkı Ökmener dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 85th minute, Mario Fernandino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. İsmail Hakkı Ökmener was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. İsmail Hakkı Ökmener made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Chicote in the 90th minute. A collision led to Fort Comme Un Turc getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Hektor Dino hit a great ball. İsmail Hakkı Ökmener was a little too slow when Eduardo Fontirroig got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 1-3. Bolivia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
