Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valerio Spadoni in the 11th minute of play. Valerio Spadoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Ruperto Modestio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Colombia's Orlando Tafalla quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bruce Cornforth, made in the 23rd minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santino Seco. After 26 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Santino Seco. In the 27th minute Valerio Spadoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Mourelatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ariel Mourelatos, 2-2. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 35th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Santino Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Mourelatos. Amboy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santino Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Ariel Mourelatos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Valerio Spadoni got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mourelatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 56th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Amboy FC's Ruperto Modestio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 64th minute of play. Ariel Mourelatos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Amboy FC made a substitution. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán replaced Valerio Spadoni. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. In the 71st minute, Amboy FC's Ruperto Modestio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. Colombia were furious when Samuel Navarro was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Amboy FC:s goal. A collision led to Amboy FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Shi Sha Quan hit a great ball. Kevin Mastache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Mourelatos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Secada in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Colombia's Santino Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Colombia had won after a very even match.
