When Aldo Ekhi came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Santos Demonios FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Ekhi couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, Santos Demonios FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Christian Raymundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Primitivo Escribano hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Aldo Ekhi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Aldo Ekhi struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos Demonios FC. After some careless play in the Santos Demonios FC defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Raymundo. The Santos Demonios FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Raymundo should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Raymundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 23rd minute. Domingo Anaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes Santos Demonios FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pardo who took care of the corner kick. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Santos Demonios FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christian Raymundo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Aldo Ekhi charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Ekhi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Santos Demonios FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Aldo Ekhi hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Aldo Ekhi made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Aldo Ekhi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Ekhi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Eulalio Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingo Anaya during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Santos Demonios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Anaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Raymundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59th match minute, Santos Demonios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Anaya to maneuver through the defense. When Santos Demonios FC's Aldo Ekhi in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 80th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Raymundo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Pardo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 84 minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Jose Sanz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Santos Demonios FC's Eleuterio Ignado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alan Campos hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santos Demonios FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paraguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
