Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roman Reynardo took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Reynardo in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Bruno Pascal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Daniel Zorita sped through Deportivo Gamberro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Pascal. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 18 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Pascal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 21 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 29th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Pascal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Reynardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Pascal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Pascal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Bruno Pascal came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Deportivo Gamberro's Bruno Pascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Deportivo Gamberro's Tony Manerov was substituted for Igor Havier. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Deportivo Gamberro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Mosen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Bruno Pascal in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Pascal made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Deportivo Gamberro's Niceto Perpinya in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Bruno Pascal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 minutes, Tony Manerov made it 2-6 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Pascal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 80th minute of the match. Ambrosio Kepa kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Tony Manerov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Manerov in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Mosen hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Perpinya in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Gamberro throughout the match.
