The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 柯强锋 made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Adam Potopea. In the 90th minute 曾希坤 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arda Güler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.
