The supporters of Ecuador booed when AgroVet United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Pacifico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Paolo Gimenez made a huge save. In the 76th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AgroVet United throughout the match.
