Cha Fe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Pacho having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Cha Fe FC's Eduardo Mede was substituted for Augusto Jurdan. Cha Fe FC's Basilio Jusepe was substituted for Jimeno Atarrabi. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cha Fe FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fidel Geofredo hit a great ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
