Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 38 played minutes Devebağırtan Gücü F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Tunç Tuyuğ. Devebağırtan Gücü F. C.'s Attilio Gentile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Devebağırtan Gücü F. After 71 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Attilio Gentile was left in no man's land by his defense there! Necip Candeğer kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felipe Ros charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Ros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Pincini in the 88th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
