The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Mede came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Mehat Kovaçi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Mehat Kovaçi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 4-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehat Kovaçi to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 50th minute. Mehat Kovaçi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Cougars FC's Mehat Kovaçi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Mehat Kovaçi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute Cougars FC were awarded a corner. Angel Morales went to the cornerflag to take it. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. Cougars FC made a substitution. Steffen Gimlinge replaced Mehat Kovaçi. After 78 minutes of play Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the match Angel Morales sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. In the 81st minute Steffen Gimlinge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnoud de Pelsmakere. Arnoud de Pelsmakere yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. After taking down the ball on Cougars FC's corner Angel Morales fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Steffen Gimlinge might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steffen Gimlinge ran back to his position shaking his head. Wladimir Herrera hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Jannic De Vreese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steffen Gimlinge in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind.
