In the 43rd minute, one of Izaltina FAD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Izaltina FAD. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Well-Well Waack to make the kick off. Alberto Tafalla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Mendes in the 59th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Angelsø couldn't finish the play. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Manuel Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 91st minute, Matías Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Izaltina FAD throughout the match.
