Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Healey McLian got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Fryderyk Lepper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fryderyk Lepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Aengus Duggan scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Zawisza Bydgoszcz booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rian Dalton to maneuver through the defense. Fryderyk Lepper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 35th minute of the match. Fryderyk Lepper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Berganza went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. Scott Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Aengus Duggan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Cotilla was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. When Aengus Duggan came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aengus Duggan couldn't finish the play. Miguel Miralles spun around in front of the goal 65 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goal. In the 82nd minute Aengus Duggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Isidoro Sarmiento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 88 minutes into the game, Bivitas Duggan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. In the 88th minute, Bivitas Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zawisza Bydgoszcz fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
