With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Gerónimo Molina tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 6 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Piedra was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the game, Altermundi FC's Gerónimo Molina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Disvandis Larraona made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerónimo Molina in the 20th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 22nd minute of play. Candido Piedra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play forced Altermundi FC's goalkeeper Candido Piedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Visen Allu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 41st playminute. In the 46th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Piedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 47th minute of the match.

A collision led to Altermundi FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Henk Everts hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Candido Piedra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candido Piedra made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. Altermundi FC made a substitution. Sem Barang replaced Visen Allu. Thanks to some nice moves Milagros Fraga could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Candido Piedra however easily saved by the left post. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerónimo Molina, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Altermundi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Candido Piedra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Altermundi FC defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Piedra. The Altermundi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Piedra should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 87th match minute, Altermundi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Reyes to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Altermundi FC got a freekick which was hit by Henk Everts. Eliseo Mina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergiu Zgrăbunţa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
