Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Xurdin Pena made the kick off and thus started the match. Xurdin Pena scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Melandru de Cenero's Xurdin Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everett Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everett Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrea Perez came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everett Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Everett Gerber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Everett Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 24th minute. Cristian Sancho scored 2-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrea Perez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute of the match, Xurdin Pena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Melandru de Cenero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Urtzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Andrea Perez in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Agustín Saelices slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrea Perez. That made the score 2-3 after 57 minutes of play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Andrea Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Fabio Cienfuegos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Melandru de Cenero getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Casimiro Quinchen hit a great ball. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Everett Gerber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everett Gerber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. With a little luck, Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrea Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of play forced Melandru de Cenero's goalkeeper Andrea Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Urtzi in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montenegro during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everett Gerber in the 85th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Melandru de Cenero's Andrea Perez. Andrea Perez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
