Gustavo Hartz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Terri Moco sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 27th minute of play. Gustavo Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 29th minute of the match. Roberto Lapurdi got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Terri Moco. Gustavo Hartz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.A. Cachila's Gustavo Hartz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Julian Murillo sped through A.A. Cachila's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustavo Hartz. The supporters of Peru booed when A.A. Cachila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Muntz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Milagros Fraga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Hartz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Gustavo Hartz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 58th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Hartz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Orlo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Gustavo Hartz made a huge save. A.A. Cachila's Gustavo Hartz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Cachila from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Hartz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4.
