Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off. Fausto Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Fausto Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 4th minute of play. Honduras's Luca Espinar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armandinho Amaral in the 6 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlinhos Lopez during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Armandinho Amaral made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Carlinhos Lopez was shown his second yellow card after 16 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Matorin in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maleta's Horácio Santos got a free kick in the 21st minute. Fausto Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute of the match. The throw-in from Armandinho Amaral in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Walmyr Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horácio Santos hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Maleta's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Sá came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Sá. A collision led to Maleta getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sandro Lucas hit a great ball. Walmyr Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Walmyr Matorin made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game Armandinho Amaral did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Horácio Santos. 56 minutes into the game, Milagros Cabal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maleta the free kick. 60 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Matorin came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Maleta got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Lucas. José Augusto Koehler hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Maleta. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinaldo Toledo during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Reinaldo Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fausto Sá but with some difficulty. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Sá came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastian Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Moises Tafalla was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Armandinho Amaral made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Horácio Santos however managed to control.
