Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Arrosko Rojas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in C.D. Ciudad de Soria's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olo Kahn came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olo Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Berriotxoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Olo Kahn. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 23rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olo Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, C.D. Ciudad de Soria's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Olo Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olo Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 25th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of C.D. Ciudad de Soria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chile:s goal. C.D. Ciudad de Soria:s Olo Kahn showed great skill when he stopped Mariano Lacasa:s penalty. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olo Kahn quite easily take care of the ball. Martin Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olo Kahn. Olo Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ovidio Zapater kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Domenech Villa got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Arrosko Rojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Xavier Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Xavier Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Olo Kahn got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Olo Kahn when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.D. Ciudad de Soria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Guillermo Fontirroig heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Qwinton Ricoy was substituted for Diego Gandia. C.D. Ciudad de Soria made a substitution. Gabriel Redondo replaced Arrosko Rojas. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olo Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Olo Kahn made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Olo Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Olo Kahn got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Olo Kahn in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Olo Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Redondo in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Gabriel Redondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.D. Ciudad de Soria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
