In the 4th minute, Alonzo Botello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Benedetto in the 9th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alonzo Botello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 12th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the game, La Cienaga's Alonzo Botello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When La Cienaga's Radamel-Falcao García in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radamel-Falcao García in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Genaro Sindo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Radamel-Falcao García put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by La Cienaga's Dario Benedetto. But to his dismay, Dario Benedetto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Alonzo Botello took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Benedetto, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Cienaga were winning 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dario Benedetto's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. Radamel-Falcao Garcías short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Radamel-Falcao García scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-5. La Cienaga's Dario Benedetto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas scored 2-5 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genaro Sindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute, La Cienaga's Radamel-Falcao García ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. 2-7 became the score in the 76th minute when Radamel-Falcao García elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radamel-Falcao García. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radamel-Falcao García. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Vinny Turell tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in La Cienaga's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Sindo came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. La Cienaga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
