Hílton do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hílton Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 64th minute of play. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 88th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Italva's goalkeeper Hílton do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th match minute, Esporte Clube Italva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
