Şeref Özdeş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şeref Özdeş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Garrido in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Şeref Özdeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 29th minute of play forced MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goalkeeper Şeref Özdeş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Axel Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MeZoPoTaMYa FK's Şeref Özdeş did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asaf Songurhan got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of MeZoPoTaMYa FK's Şeref Özdeş. Şeref Özdeş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 44th minute. MeZoPoTaMYa FK's Şeref Özdeş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 46th minute of play. MeZoPoTaMYa FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Axel Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Şeref Özdeş could save by the left post. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Şeref Özdeş to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şeref Özdeş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurence Sheppard in the 66th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Axel Montenegro rounded MeZoPoTaMYa FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. The goalkeeper, Şeref Özdeş, was totally fooled by Colombia's Kevin Mastache, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. MeZoPoTaMYa FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
