With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Gelmiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Songur Ünlüer in the 15th minute of play. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Behzat Altuncuoğlu to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Gustaf Hedling in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 76 minutes into the match, MaviAteşSK's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Isidoro Gelmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when MaviAteşSK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yngve Örtendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Gelmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. In the 86th minute, Rafael Gallo made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Gelmiro. MaviAteşSK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. The supporters of Peru booed when MaviAteşSK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Songur Ünlüer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kevin Zapatero, made in the 92nd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
