Áron Bódog hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. ADM Taquaras's Denílson Tepedino was substituted for Oliver Bierhoff. The supporters of USA booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Áron Bódog didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th match minute, ADM Taquaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Áron Bódog to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. ADM Taquaras's Nestor Soeiro was substituted for Radowit Dziuma. After a rather tough play, USA's Jenson Smith got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Tepedino in the 82nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, USA's Khalid Parry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Moreno narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
