But to his dismay, Miguel Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Rubén Urruti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Godoy made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 52nd minute of play forced Auriolam II C.F.'s goalkeeper Rubén Urruti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubén Urruti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kevin Mastache went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 56 minutes into the match, Auriolam II C.F.'s goalkeeper Rubén Urruti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. In the 79th minute, Abram Secada made a precise shot to the right of Rubén Urruti. Auriolam II C.F.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. Jesús Perera struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Auriolam II C.F.. With a little luck, Auriolam II C.F.'s Rubén Urruti got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesús Perera in the 90th minute of the match. Rubén Urruti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Abram Secada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rubén Urruti. The goal made the score 4-5. The Colombia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
