Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) FC Vlahuță's Claudiu Doinaș started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vlahuță's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihai Rusu came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihai Rusu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Bute in the 10th minute of play. Mihai Rusu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 14th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esa Hagelberg. Mihai Rusu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihai Rusu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Doinaș in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match, Petru Bute got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mihai Rusu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Esa Hagelberg was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Vlahuță's players had a chance to rest. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mihai Rusu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, FC Vlahuță's goalkeeper Mihai Rusu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
