In the 14th minute, Sons of Strategy's Marco Bos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marco Bos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sons of Strategy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marco Bos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Sons of Strategy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chile:s goal. The referee gave Chile a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mariano Lacasa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer. 0-1. After 24 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Carballar. After having played for 28 minutes, Arnold Pool managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sons of Strategy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnold Pool was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan de Boer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan de Boer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A collision led to Sons of Strategy getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Wilco Heida hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Jan de Boer threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Mariano Lacasa this time. In the 62nd minute of the match Chile got a corner. Sons of Strategy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mariano Lacasa made a great header on Chile's corner, it was just that Sons of Strategy's Jan de Boer managed to reach the ball for a save. Jan de Boer made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sons of Strategy.
