The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Dino Cara in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmondo Genta charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmondo Genta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice moves Francisco Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Dino Cara however easily saved by the left post. In the 40th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 46 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Dino Cara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The Coriano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Cara should have stopped the shot. Coriano FC's Dino Cara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Franco in the 84th minute of play. But to his dismay, Camilo Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 17-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Uruguay fully deserved thier win.
