Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Dijmărescu in the 7th minute of play. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Cristoiu having to make a save. Horaţiu Dijmărescu in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Olympic CF's Ernesto Esposito got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Stig-Ove Kilström made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Francisco Seco sped through Olympic CF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dacian Cristoiu. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horaţiu Dijmărescu to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Dacian Cristoiu in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Alberto Gisbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Seco in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dacian Cristoiu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Olympic CF's zone, Alberto Gisbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The tension between the Olympic CF and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Petrică Colceriu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horaţiu Dijmărescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Dijmărescu in the 67th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Cristoiu made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Dacian Cristoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 90th minute of the match. Francisco Seco came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dacian Cristoiu could save by the left post. A collision led to Olympic CF getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mădălin Bocșan hit a great ball. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Dacian Cristoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Olympic CF.
