If Gabriel Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Vinhas in the 51st minute of play. Gabriel Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Juarês Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Gino Velasco threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cassius Byrne this time. The supporters of USA booed when Relyn Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 63 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Moore. 64 minutes into the game, Gabriel Vinhas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cassius Byrne got in the 67th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gino Velasco handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Gino Velasco made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gino Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. In the 73rd minute, Raphael Moore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vinhas in the 75th minute of the match. Gino Velasco was a little too slow when Marco Baker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 4-3. When Marco Baker came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Baker couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Faria hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gino Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Baker in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Relyn Futebol Clube could leave the field as winners, despite USA having more of the ball for most of the match.
