The coaching staff of Costa Rica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abel Carballo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 4 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mikael Ståhlberg shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Mikael Ståhlberg came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Victor Duset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23rd play minutes Mikael Ståhlberg shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 26th minute, Mikael Ståhlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jens-Erik Mattsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Mikael Ståhlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jens-Erik Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebastian Norström in the 34th minute of play. Mikael Ståhlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Mikael Ståhlberg sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. In the 44th minute, Patric Nyman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrik Möllgren's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Noboa to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Arkham Legends got a freekick which was hit by Patric Nyman. When Axel Tasis came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Tasis couldn't finish the play. Svante Eskilsson's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Svante Eskilsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Arkham Legends's Svante Eskilsson got a free kick in the 55th minute. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jens-Erik Mattsson but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Jens-Erik Mattsson in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens-Erik Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 61st minute of play. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikael Ståhlberg went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Arkham Legends booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Mikael Ståhlberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Noboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jens-Erik Mattsson made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Arkham Legends:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Costa Rica:s goal. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebastian Norström in the 88th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Zebastian Norström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Ståhlberg in the 95th minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Svante Eskilsson struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arkham Legends.
