Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Louis in the 5th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Louis in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Modesto Louis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Modesto Louis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tymoteusz Setara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, İZMİR S.K.'s Alif Malaiholo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Julio Vera. Modesto Louis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alif Malaiholo. In the 31stth minute of the game Modesto Louis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tymoteusz Setara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Tymoteusz Setara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Asrın İsmet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Louis in the 44th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Asrın İsmet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Modesto Louis in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 56 minutes of play, İZMİR S.K.'s Modesto Louis made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, İZMİR S.K. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Louis to maneuver through the defense. İZMİR S.K.'s Kudret Humbaracıbaşı was substituted for Cüneyt Çetinay. After 64 played minutes İZMİR S.K. got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Louis. A collision led to İZMİR S.K. getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Asrın İsmet hit a great ball. Alif Malaiholo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tymoteusz Setara. That made the score 2-1 in the 84 minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by İZMİR S.K.'s Atahan İlteber. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Asrın İsmet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Asrın İsmet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, İZMİR S.K.'s goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Tymoteusz Setara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Tymoteusz Setara in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
