When Martien Degenkamp fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Revenge's protests and gave Martien Degenkamp a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Martien Degenkamp. After 24 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Revenge's Gijs ter Averst tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced Revenge's goalkeeper Gijs ter Averst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes Revenge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Martien Degenkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. Gijs ter Averst was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Revenge getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Agustín Saelices reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gijs ter Averst. The goal made the score 0-4. Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Gijs ter Averst, making the score, 0-5. Revenge's Gijs ter Averst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Revenge defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gijs ter Averst. The Revenge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gijs ter Averst should have stopped the shot. Revenge's Gijs ter Averst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute of play. Gijs ter Averst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Vondel. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Gijs ter Averst, making the score, 0-7. The audience was convinced that Agustín Saelices's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gijs ter Averst was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 87 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8.
