Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Valente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Aaron Bemabe made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Valerius Ginsberg. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Alvaro Valente in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonso Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Feliciano Baumar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Peru's Joaquin Prats quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aaron Bemabe, made in the 18th minute of the game. Alvaro Valente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Alvaro Valente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 33rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Alvaro Valente successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 42 minutes into the match, Feliciano Baumar notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Scofield were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliciano Baumar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Feliciano Baumar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Valente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 56 minutes Scofield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Alvaro Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Baumar in the 61st minute of play. Alvaro Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 63rd minute of play. Alvaro Valente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milagros Fraga went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Valente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Baumar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Baumar in the 74th minute of the match. Alvaro Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scofield's Cayetano Urdin was substituted for Feliciano Baumar. Cayetano Urdin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Alvaro Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
