Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Robustiano Amor made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Navarro during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 27th minute of play. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Shawn Romero got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 30th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Shawn Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Robustiano Amor made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. After a rather tough play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Donovan Heath got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Robustiano Amor in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Jarrett Rosenberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Cosmos Soccer Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Honduras:s goal. Cosmos Soccer Club:s Jarrett Rosenberg showed great skill when he stopped Edmundo Espiga:s penalty. Edmundo Espiga in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 87th minute, Sebastian Villa made a precise shot to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. Cosmos Soccer Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.
