In the 39th minute Pompiliu Pociu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sanford Glenn during the 45th minute. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half.
