Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Arrecifes's Modesto Mikolas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Marcos Fraco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marciano Hartz, made in the 8th minute of the game. Marcos Fraco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Moises Tafalla notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Arrecifes's Marcos Fraco. Marcos Fraco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrecifes's goalkeeper Marcos Fraco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Modesto Mikolas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lautaro Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Modesto Mikolas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 22nd minute. After 29 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. In the 32nd minute, Modesto Mikolas made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Alejandro Fonda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 41st match minute, Arrecifes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Honrio to maneuver through the defense. When Sebastian Villa fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Sebastian Villa a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Villa. When Alejandro Fonda came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Arrecifes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Fonda couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejandro Fonda to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Edmundo Espiga in the 56th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Marcos Fraco kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 4-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 58 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's Modesto Mikolas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 60th play minutes Modesto Mikolas shot 5-2, a short shot which went by Lautaro Navarro and just under the crossbar into goal. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Cutberto in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Lucio Hever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcos Fraco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 5-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Fraco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Froilan Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Dalmacio Honrio got a free kick in the 80th minute. Marciano Hartz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Edmundo Espiga scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Marcos Fraco who was too lazy, 5-4. If Christian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Arrecifes had won, even though Honduras had held more of the ball.
