Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Modesto Mikolas made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 minutes, Fermin Llope mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrecifes and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fermin Llope kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 10th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Marcos Fraco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arrecifes's Modesto Mikolas got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Mikolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalmacio Honrio made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. 18 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Marcos Fraco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Arrecifes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Jaime Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Fraco quite easily take care of the ball. In the 28th minute, one of Uruguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguay. Alejandro Fonda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Fraco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Modesto Mikolas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Modesto Mikolas slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 41st minute. Marcos Fraco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Matro during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arrecifes! Marcos Fraco had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jaime Cazalla did an outstanding performance 50 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Marcos Fraco in the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. After 56 played minutes, Arrecifes's Lucio Hever shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arrecifes reached it. Arrecifes's Marcos Fraco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Arrecifes defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Fraco. The Arrecifes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Fraco should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Mikolas in the 69th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Arrecifes made a substitution. Froilan Cutberto replaced Modesto Mikolas. Arrecifes's Abel Egoitz was substituted for Alejandro Fonda. Abel Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Abel Egoitz hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marciano Hartz hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The Arrecifes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
