Milagros Cabal's late challenge caught a Tallahassee Vikings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blaine Kemp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 14th minute of play. If Neil Massey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Ledford in the 19th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Neil Massey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joshua McKinley in the 28 minute of the game. Honduras's Sebastian Villa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tallahassee Vikings. Darron Webb hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Gerard Hand almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro did a great save. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaine Kemp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marty Ledford to strike the kick off in the second half. When Milagros Cabal was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. When Neil Massey came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Tallahassee Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Massey couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Tallahassee Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Blaine Kemp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marty Ledford in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blaine Kemp came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastian Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 70thth minute of the game Marty Ledford who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Marty Ledford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Christian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Kemp having to interfere. 2-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Neil Massey elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Joshua McKinley made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaine Kemp having to interfere. The Tallahassee Vikings players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
