The audience thought a goal was coming when Wyatt Snow got free with Julio Vera in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Buffalo Bills's Lars Köhler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play forced Buffalo Bills's goalkeeper Lars Köhler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wyatt Snow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Buffalo Bills's Wyatt Snow fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute, Alfred Wieczorek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Köhler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lars Köhler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Köhler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wyatt Snow to make the kick off. Tor Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. With a little luck, Buffalo Bills's Lars Köhler got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lars Köhler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ricart Mendiguren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 75 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Lars Köhler managed to make a qualified save. Buffalo Bills's players were relieved. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Köhler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 played minutes, Buffalo Bills's Tor Hjeltman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Buffalo Bills reached it. With his leg Lars Köhler managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lars Köhler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 91st minute.
