Romulo Juvenal hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Eneas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Faustino Eneas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play forced BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Higinio Gonzales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Eneas in the 20th minute of play. Faustino Eneas's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faustino Eneas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Juvenal came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Israel Bertol got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Higinio Gonzales. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Baldomiro Gerazan's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Gerazan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Gerazan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Eneas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Higinio Gonzales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Venegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th match minute, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Inautzi to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 60th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Baldomiro Gerazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Higinio Gonzales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Higinio Gonzales came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. There was no doubt that Venezuela were the better team. Venezuela's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
