If Tony de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th match minute, Alvi Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Berger to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Moises Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Silas de Castro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony de Carvalho in the 24th minute of play. When Alvi Verde's Manoel Berger in 27 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Lautaro Navarro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 30thth minute of the game Manoel Berger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Silas de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Abel Nogueira in the 36 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 39th minute of play forced Alvi Verde's goalkeeper Silas de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Tadeu Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Basílio Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silas de Castro came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastian Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 57th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Jaime Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Silas de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony de Carvalho in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Milagros Cabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Villa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honduras's Christian Sancho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Nogueira, made in the 75th minute of the game. Basílio Mazza hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Abel Nogueira made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which César Linares however managed to control. Silas de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silas de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silas de Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Honduras had played much better football throughout.
