Manoel Berger's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 17 in the game by Manoel Berger from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silas de Castro saved Alvi Verde from getting behind. A collision led to Alvi Verde getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Manoel Berger hit a great ball. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manoel Berger got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Manoel Berger tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Franco in the 39th minute of play forced Alvi Verde's goalkeeper Silas de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Bruno Beldad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Jaime Cazalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manoel Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silas de Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Alvi Verde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silas de Castro should have stopped the shot. Alvi Verde's Silas de Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Alvi Verde from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Uruguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alvi Verde throughout the match.
