When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Naldo Cerezo took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Leonel Sendoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Naldo Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Patagonicos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Cerezo couldn't finish the play. When Luciano Joanes fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patagonicos FC's protests and gave Luciano Joanes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Patagonicos FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Luciano Joanes hit a great ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Cazacu having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naldo Cerezo made a kick off. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Patricio Costa off the ground. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patagonicos FC's Pastor Abechuco was substituted for Leonel Sendoa. Patagonicos FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
