After 9 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 11th minute of the match Arkhip Ilyin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in chacarita juniors's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Pappalardo came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Arkhip Ilyin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute chacarita juniors were awarded a corner. Arkhip Ilyin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Arkhip Ilyin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. If Deng Wei Lin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Deng Wei Lin might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deng Wei Lin ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Arkhip Ilyin came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 27 minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkhip Ilyin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Arkhip Ilyin put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Arkhip Ilyin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Arkhip Ilyin made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of chacarita juniors booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkhip Ilyin in the 53rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Lucjan Malewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. chacarita juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Arkhip Ilyin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriano Pappalardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. chacarita juniors made a substitution. Nestor Abilio replaced Arkhip Ilyin. After 83 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. 85 minutes into the match, chacarita juniors's goalkeeper Adriano Pappalardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 86thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but chacarita juniors's Adriano Pappalardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute, Inocencio Cristos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucjan Malewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. chacarita juniors's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
