With an all-out effort, SPARROWS's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lionel Haaland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced SPARROWS's goalkeeper Vitko Hadzhiiliev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel Haaland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Aan 周瑜 sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SPARROWS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. The supporters of SPARROWS booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. SPARROWS's Rayko Tzolovski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. In the 44th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitko Hadzhiiliev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chen Yi Ran was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chen Yi Ran in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SPARROWS's Simeon Paspalev got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 91st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. The SPARROWS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
