Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Emil Dahlbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils-Emil Dahlbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Limhamns Stjärnor's Gustaf Sjödin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Limhamns Stjärnor's zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaf Sjödin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Sjödin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustaf Sjödin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Berganza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 92 minute of play. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Panama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Limhamns Stjärnor.
