The supporters of Peru booed when AC Collins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donato Foddis saved AC Collins from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Foddis was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Di Toma in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mel Önen in the 46th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. After 82 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Julian Murillo. Donato Foddis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 83rd minute of play. When AC Collins's Zygmunt Pisarczyk in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The AC Collins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Foddis should have stopped the shot. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
