Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Catarino Carmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Catarino Carmo having to make a save. In the 43rd match minute, NoMoreMoneyForMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Leocadio to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emmanuel Hjaltason stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Urbano Gaitano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 52 minutes into the match, NoMoreMoneyForMZ's goalkeeper Catarino Carmo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, NoMoreMoneyForMZ's Catarino Carmo got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of NoMoreMoneyForMZ's goalie and right to Felix Montes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. NoMoreMoneyForMZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Catarino Carmo was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 2-1. NoMoreMoneyForMZ's Catarino Carmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save NoMoreMoneyForMZ from getting a goal against them. Gregorio Leocadio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, NoMoreMoneyForMZ's Catarino Carmo got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. NoMoreMoneyForMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but NoMoreMoneyForMZ's Catarino Carmo did a great save. After 80 minutes, Felix Montenegro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. NoMoreMoneyForMZ's Catarino Carmo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. NoMoreMoneyForMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Catarino Carmo, making the score, 2-3. In the 89th match minute, NoMoreMoneyForMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Hjaltason to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 94 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
