Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play forced Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustin Orion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Agustin Orion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Agustin Orion didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 26th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Orion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 34th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Llavallol FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 35th minute, one of Llavallol FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Llavallol FC. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play. Abel Paixão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Isaac Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Llavallol FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Fiúza in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedito Fiúza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
