Corrado Zinni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Alex Brunov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Bonggo Bawono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Alvaro Parco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Brunov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Felix Luque in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Madrid City FC's Dániel Soós. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Tafalla in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Brunov saved Madrid City FC from getting behind. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bonggo Bawono made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bonggo Bawono came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Alex Brunov made a huge save. Madrid City FC's Alex Brunov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Madrid City FC from getting a goal against them. Alex Brunov made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonggo Bawono in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Bonggo Bawono came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Alvaro Parco charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Parco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Madrid City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Parco to maneuver through the defense. Corrado Zinni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Alex Brunov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
